"So this is all great, but what will I actually be doing if I start this as a business?”
This is a great question, and we’re glad you asked!
1. Approaching - This means sharing about what you have found with others. Just like we do when we fall in love with an awesome bottle of wine or a great cafe, we share this with others. This means talking to real live people whether on social media, or in person. We always find out what their needs are by being curious about them and caring about them. Then we can offer them a solution to their needs or problems. Just like I (Kendra) needed a solution to my failing health and I (Kimberley) needed a way to stay home with my kids. We were both approached with a solution to these concerns.
2. Inviting - This means specifically inviting people to watch the same videos you are currently watching! Or inviting them to a webinar or an in person presentation, if it’s someone you know locally and who you want to take the time to meet with. You don’t ever have to meet in person as the online options are there for you. I (Kimberley) personally love meeting in person it because I love to be social and meet for lunches and teas!
3. Presenting - This could look many different ways. Like we just mentioned, once you are a part of our team you will have the ability to utilize our promotional videos (the ones featured here) to share with your guests that like you, are also looking to create something different for their lives. These videos can do all the talking for you. You don’t have to learn the detailed history of our company or the specific ingredient list of all of our supplements. All you have to do is get people in front of this content the very same way you are in front of it right now. (If you happen to love presenting, or want to learn to love presenting, public speaking and sharing your story, then by all means you can present in person. And we will teach you how to do that!)
4. Following Up - It’s the rare individual who says yes on the spot! So you will want to follow up with your guests. Sometimes it can take several follow ups before a person enrolls on your team. And we have oodles of cool resources and stuff you can send them for your follow ups. I (Kimberley) have had people that I followed up with for years before they said yes. And it’s the rare people who says yes the first time they have a presentation. The key is to recognize that follow ups are part of your responsibility as a professional business owner.
5. Promoting & Attending Events - There will sometimes be events in your city that are being put on by other USANA reps, and these are great events to attend. There is huge value in inviting your guests to attend so they can meet other USANA business partners as well as learn more about the company and the opportunity they are being offered. There is always great energy at these events and even though I (Kimberley) have been attending the ones in my area for over a decade, I still find I get re-inspired at each one, and I’m always learning something new! Plus you are encouraged to host your own events that you can invite other teammates to.
6. Enrolling - This is when all your efforts have paid off, and your guest has said YES to partnering in business with you. Now you get to play in the business sandbox together.
7. Training - Once you have a new teammate, you will teach them to use our training system. We have training videos for you to provide your new teammate with, 1-1 coaching, Facebook group chats, Group coaching, and many ongoing training webinars for you and your team to utilize. Your teammates will use the system, follow the process, enrol their own teammates, and finally help train their teammates as well. It’s a business of duplication! The ripple effect is really powerful because while in the early days of your business you will feel like you’ll be doing the bulk of the work and training of your team, as time goes on your team will train their teams and you won’t need to work harder, yet you'll be earning more income!
8. Learning daily - You will earn while you learn, as we say! As you grow as a person, and in your understanding of how to build your business, you will find that your income will follow. The learning is a lot of fun and it’s really cool to be working with a team that are all growing as individuals too especially as we all learn from each other. The byproduct of this ongoing learning and growth, will be a richer, more rewarding life for you.
